Student Pops Surprise Prom Proposal at District 228 Spirit Showdown

Students from all four District 228 schools showed their support for Oak Forest High School Senior Cody Clemens as he surprised Bremen Senior Kaitlin Alton by asking her to prom.  Cody contacted Showdown Committee Member Paige Stryczek in an email on Tuesday asking permission for a few minutes during the event.

Cody’s friend Jeremy Green took the microphone and asked Katie to come down from the bleachers and, as students and staff held sign boards that said, “WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME?", Cody presented Katie with a red rose.  Of course she said YES!
