TPHS Students Talk About What Makes Homecoming Great

Tinley Park High School students talk about why they think TPHS beats all other schools.

It's a simple question: What does homecoming mean to you?

For Tinley Park High School sophomore Mia Santos, 15, marching in the Friday afternoon homecoming parade with the art club, it means community.

"To me it means like the entire school coming together," she said. "The school together is like a giant family."

Sophomore Clara Gray, 15, face painted in school colors, echoed the family theme.

"Everyone's like a big old family and I love it," Gray said.

For 15-year-old Anthony Saucedo, also a sophomore, it means a tryout. If he thrives as the mascot on homecoming night, he gets to play the Titan again. He had a simple formula.

"Basically just dance and do what the crowd wants," he said.

The Titans went on to win their homecoming game Friday night, giving them a 4-0 season. Their homecoming dance is tonight. Watch more homecoming responses in our video.
