Climbing Gas Prices for the Fourth of July: Where's the Cheapest Gas?

Many Americans will get their motors running and head out on the highway this weekend. But their wallets will feel the pinch.

If you're traveling, where can you get the cheapest gas this Fourth of July weekend?

Gas prices have been steadily climbing and are now the highest they've been since 2008, reports AAA: "The national average price of gas in July will range from $3.60-$3.70 per gallon."

Michael Green, spokesman for AAA, attributes the jacked-up prices to the unrest in Iraq. "It's that fear in the marketplace that rebels could take over is what's driving up the cost of oil and gasoline prices here at home," he said on NBC News.

AAA estimates more than 30 million Americans will drive more than 50 miles during the Independence Day weekend despite the high cost of gas.
