Andrew Grad Jones Awarded Saint Catherine Medal
Brittany Jones, a forward on the Saint Xavier University basketball team and a graduate of Andrew High School, is recognized for her work in the community.
Tinley Park native and Saint Xavier University basketball player Brittany Jones was awarded the Saint Catherine Medal by Kappa Gamma Pi, the National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society.
The award is given annually to a sophomore or junior student who represents the ideals and missions of Saint Xavier University. It is presented to an individual who demonstrates outstanding service to the college or exhibits leadership qualities.
Away from basketball, Jones has worked tirelessly giving back to the community.

The Andrew High School graduate is the active president of the Student Government Association at Saint Xavier University and has been known to work on various service projects throughout the community. Jones, a junior forward, has been a regular at the local homeless shelter, helping serve lunch, along with volunteering at a local Ronald McDonald House where she helps prepare breakfast.
She also is a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and is Saint Xavier's NAIA "Champion of Character" representative.
