As the White Sox and the Cubs take to the field this week in pursuit of bragging rights in the Crosstown Classic, here are five things to know about the series that gets Chicago baseball fans talking.

  2. Cubs ace Jeff Samardzija has yet to win a game
  3. The Sox lead the series 49-45 (as of Monday morning)
  4. Neither team has made the playoffs the last five seasons
  5. The Cubs swept the 2013 Crosstown Classic

The Cubs and Sox will play two games at Wrigley (Monday and Tuesday) and two more games at U.S. Cellular Field (Wednesday and Thursday).

As of Monday morning, the Cubs are 11-18 and the Sox are 15-17.
