Get Your Rear in Gear Tinley Park

Get Your Rear in Gear races are a series of nationwide 5K and 10K events to raise funds for colorectal cancer awareness and screening. Funds raised will be invested in Tiney Park-area programs to raise awareness of colon and rectal cancer, invest in innovative projects to help increase screening for colorectal cancer, especially for the under- or non-insured, and provide support to those touched by colorectal cancer. By working together, we can have a positive impact on colon and rectal cancer in our community and beyond.

The Tinley Park race is chip timed and run on a USATF certified 5K course. All participants receive tech shirts. Winners are announced in age group categories and receive marathon-quality medals. Enjoy food, beverage and more at the event.

Teams are encouraged to run or walk in honor of a colon cancer survivor or in memory of someone lost to the disease. Fundraising is encouraged; awards are given to the largest team, the team that raises the most money and the individual to raise the most money.
