Football: L-W North Senior Says Yes to Illini

Julian Hylton, who has been a running back with the Phoenix for the past 2 seasons, verbally committed to the University of Illinois on Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Lincoln-Way North High School senior Julian Hylton verbally committed on Tuesday to the University of Illinois, where he's been recruited as a defensive back, the Chicago Tribune reports.

For the past two seasons, Hylton was at the running back position for the Phoenix. But he doesn't expect any problems making the change to cornerback, he told the Tribune.

"I worked out at cornerback this summer and I've played the position in high school," he told the Tribune. 'I feel very comfortable at defensive back, and I've really embraced the position this summer in different camps. In the long term, I feel cornerback is my best position and I'm excited for the challenge."
