Football: Tinley Park Celebrates Homecoming with Win Over Evergreen Park

Tinley Park 44, Evergreen Park 27: The Titans' offense continues to click as Tinley wins the South Suburban crossover game and improves to 4-0.

Breaking It Down: , as the Titans’ fans and alumni celebrated a 42-27 homecoming win over Evergreen Park. It took the Titans three plays from scrimmage to jump on top of the Mustangs, 6-0, but unlike in recent weeks, the Titans never relinquished the lead in order to set up a fourth-quarter rally.

Still, refused to make it an easy win for the Titans. Trailing 37-13 in the second half, the Mustangs cut the lead to 16 after a 25-yard run from running back Victor Baker and a successful two-point conversion pass from quarterback Brandon White to Jack Ryan. But the Mustangs couldn’t keep up with Tinley Park’s high-octane offense, which has scored over 40 points in every game this season.

Patch’s MVP: Tinley Park running back Gregory Wallace returned a kickoff for a touchdown for the second week in a row, this one for 99 yards. Wallace rushed for 146 yards on eight carries, scoring two more touchdowns in the process.
