Last week, Tinley Park split carries between . The offensive line continues to be a strength for the team, and it will be interesting to see how they match-up against Lemont’s size on the defensive front.

Lemont surged into the Chicago Tribune’s Top 20 football rankings after posting a 30-0 victory over T.F. South (1-3) last week.

While the two teams will never meet in the Illinois High School Association playoffs—Lemont is 6A and Tinley Park, 5A—this game will have resounding ramifications in crowning the South Suburban Blue Conference Champion.

Last year, , but a special teams breakdown allowed Lemont to return a punt for a 67-yard touchdown.

The Titans haven't forgotten that game. In the preseason, quarterback Kyle Sheridan and his told me they circled Lemont on the schedule in hopes to extract some revenge.

If they hope to win, their defense will have to contain . Anzalone rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win.

, the T-Bolts look to bounce back against struggling Thornridge.

Andrew (1-3) at Thornridge (0-4)

When and Where:  1 p.m. Saturday at Thornridge, 15000 Cottage Grove, Dolton.

Last Week: ; Bradley 30, Thornridge 12.

With a month into play, the Andrew football team is 1-3.

But the team has fought hard and been within striking distance in every game this season. The T-Bolts have scored 72 points on the year and given up 83.

After taking a halftime lead over Lincoln-Way West (3-1) last Friday, the T-Bolts defense couldn’t contain Warriors running back Nick Dangles. With the fourth quarter winding down, Dangles rumbled for 76 yards and a touchdown on the game clinching drive. .

Andrew players hit the road again this week—four of their first five are away—in a Southwest Suburban Red clash against floundering Thornridge.

With Thornridge (0-4) giving up an average of 37 points per contest, this could be the perfect bounce-back game for the T-Bolts.

Andrew put up 17 points last week against a solid Warriors defense, but seven of those came via a pick-six from senior linebacker Patrick Elget. The Andrew offense will have its opportunities this week in Dolton.

Oak Forest will try to put last week behind them as they hope to contain an explosive Meteor offense.

Oak Forest (3-1) at T.F. North (3-1)

When and Where: 7 p.m. Friday at T.F. North High School, 755 Pulaski Road, Calumet City.

Last Week: ; T.F. North 28 Hillcrest 8.

Oak Forest suffered its first loss of the season in heartbreaking fashion, .  Turnovers in the end of the game doomed the team, and the Bengals will hope to correct those issues this Friday in Calumet City.

The bright spot in last week’s debacle was the Oak Forest defense. The group sparkled in holding Bremen’s stud running back David Smith to only 66 yards on 23 carries. The defense will have its hands full again against a T.F. North squad that can put up points in a hurry.

The Meteors hold a bevy of offensive weapons at their disposal headed by dual-threat quarterback Calvin Lindsey. When not running for big gains, Lindsey looks often for the tough-to-cover wideout Claude Garret.

T.F. North averages nearly 40 points per game. Look for Lindsey on the defensive side of the ball, because he is also a shutdown cornerback.

Oak Forest counters with dangerous skill players of their own. Running backs Tevin Coleman and
