Schultz Powers Titans in Girl Swimming Opener

Hannah Schultz led the Tinley Park girls swim team to a victory in its first home meet of the season in a South Suburban Conference crossover on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Tinley Park nearly doubled the score of visiting Oak Lawn, winning the meet 111-57. Schultz paced the Titans with two first-place finishes. She won the 100 freestyle (59.22 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.49 seconds).

Andrew, Tinley Park Score Football Sweep

The Andrew football team was not to be denied in its home-opener against Stagg on Friday night. After losing two tough games on the road, .  Quarterback Tyler Hook passed for 117 yards and a score, and running back Jarvis Franklin added 103 yards on the ground.  

The Tinley Park football team (3-0) kept its undefeated season alive with a thrilling performance against Thornton Fractional North (2-1).  . The Tinley Park special teams unit delivered big, blocking a punt and returning two kicks for touchdowns.

Glorind Lisha pulled off the hat trick for the T-Bolts, as the Andrew boys soccer team shutout Brother Rice 3-0 in play last week. Lisha is the top goal scorer for Andrew on the season.

After jumping to an early 1-0 lead, the, losing 4-3.  The Titans received goals from Bobby Neylon, Mike Swierczewski, and Ray Baldovin.
