Sports Video Highlight Reel: T-Bolts Battle Back

Despite falling behind in the sixth inning, Andrew battled back to edge Hinsdale Central 6-4 in a non-conference baseball thriller.

Despite chilly conditions, Andrew remained red hot with its third straight baseball win as the T-Bolts beat Hinsdale Central 6-4 on Monday behind solid pitching by Dan Truesdale and the bat of Brian Cobb.

The T-Bolts got off to a fast start in the bottom of the first with a two-run double by Cobb. Pat Elget and Matt Biernat scored on the blast. The Red Devils responded with one run in the third and two in the sixth to take the lead. But a four-run bottom of the sixth allowed Andrew to regain control.

Truesdale, a senior right-hander,  pitched five innings of one-run ball. He struck out four. But it was Biernat who was credited with the win in relief after he worked the final two innings. Cobb finished the day 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs, while Nick DeBenedetti and Greg Bothwell each added two hits and a run. Elget capped off the T-Bolts' sixth-inning rally with a base hit which brought in two runs and snapped a 4-4 deadlock.
