PHOTOS: Caribbean Block Party Heats Up Oak Park Avenue

The kicked off at noon on Sunday, filling much of Oak Park Avenue with the sights and sounds of summer fun.

Live music, inflatable bounce games and train rides were only some of the event's attractions. Misting tents were peppered along the block party route to keep visitors cool.

The kids area had a new exhibit this year, thanks to the The Air Force 434 Refueling Wing bringing a display that included the controls of a refueling jet. The life-like exhibit included uniformed Air Force troops to assist party-goers and answer their many questions.

Patch was there to capture some of the fun memories. See the accompanying photo gallery for a glimpse of the action.
