The Secret Life of the Tinley Park Lifeguard

Patch spoke to lifeguards at the village's White Water Canyon Water Park about what were some of the things pool-goers didn't realize about their job.

Perched high in their chairs, sunglasses shielding their eyes from the sun's glare, swimming pool lifeguards see—and here—more than you think.

But then that's their job, isn't it? To observe and make sure everyone's safe.

Of course, what they end up observing isn't always what people want to observe.

Patch spoke with lifeguards from White Water Water Canyon State Park and asked them what pool-goers didn't realize about what the job they did. Check out the video for how they answered.
