Westbound I-80 Accident Backs Up Traffic to I-57 Exchange
At least one vehicle was involved in an accident Wednesday morning in the westbound lanes of I-80, near the Harlem Avenue exit.
An SUV was badly damaged in an accident Wednesday morning in westbound lanes of I-80, near the Harlem Avenue exit.
As of 9:15 a.m., the accident had traffic backed up in the westbound direction as far back as the I-57 southbound ramp. At least one vehicle was involved, according to a report from a Patch editor at the scene.
An ambulance also was spotted at the scene, but a spokeswoman for the Illinois State Police said the agency had no reports of any injuries at this time.
