Here Comes the Sale: Help Agency Offers Bridal Gowns at a Discount
Thanks to donations from Eva's Bridal, Together We Cope is holding a 2-day wedding dress sale Saturday and Sunday. Patch gives you a by-the-numbers sneak peek.
Together We Cope in Tinley Park is all about helping.
Usually, the nonprofit agency offers aid to families in temporary crisis, thanks to its food pantry and other services. But this weekend, TWC is targeting a very specific group: brides-to-be.
Thanks to a donation from Eva's Bridal of Illinois, Together We Cope will hold a bridal gown sale Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14, in a storefront at 18219 S. Harlem Ave., in Tinley Park. The sale will feature 700 sample wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses from the bridal shop, which as south suburban locations in Oak Lawn and Orland Park.

While the discounted price tags will take the pressure off the budgets of brides-to-be, the proceeds from the sale will benefit clients of the Together We Cope.

By the Numbers: Together We Cope's Wedding Gown Sale
- 75: Amount in dollars all bridal gowns will cost.
- 50: Amount in dollars all bridesmaids dresses will cost.
- 700: Sample dresses donated by Eva's Bridal of Illinois to Together We Cope for this sale.
- 8,000: Amount in dollars for the regular retail cost of a Vera Wang bridal gown that will be part of the sale. The dress is in perfect condition except for a broken zipper than can be repaired.
- 4 to 22: Range of gown sizes available.
- 2: Times Eva's Bridal has donated gowns for Together We Cope, so that the agency can hold a fundraising sale. Also, the number of days the 2013 will be held.
- 22: South suburban communities served by Together We Cope.
