Auction to Benefit Family of Deceased D146 Teacher

The proceeds of a Nov. 21 auction at Memorial School will be donated to the family of deceased fifth grade teacher Mark Reilly.

The event includes an auction, raffles and vendors. Visitors can bid on and win items for as little as a quarter. Goodie bags go to the first 25 guests! Admission is free. Bidding fee of $5 includes 3 paddles. Cash bar and snacks available.

Go Under the Hood of the Interweb, 7 p.m.: For grades 6-12. Want to learn how to code, but don't know where to start? Codecademy is a free website which teaches you the basics of computer programming and markup languages at your own pace. Eat Up (Healthy) for the Holidays, 7 p.m.: Orland Township Health Services is hosting “Holiday Healthy Eating." Registered dietitian Tina Musselman will be teaching participants healthy tips on how to avoid that dreaded holiday weight gain.
