Making plans for the weekend? Patch has rounded up a list of events and activities going on in and around Tinley Park.

If nothing matters but the weekend, you better plan it out. Patch is here to help by spotlighting some of what's going on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in and around Tinley Park.

Come hungry Sunday, Nov. 17. District 146 Band Program will host a Spaghetti Dinner at Central Middle School18146 S. Oak Park Ave. from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $8, kids under 5 are FREE.  For additional information, email: bands@pkccimages.com

Baseball Registration: The Frankfort Square Baseball League will hold its 2014 signups, from 9 to 11 a.m.. Registration will be held at the Frankfort Square Park District Building located at 7540 W. Braemar Lane in Frankfort. 

Fundraising candy will be available for purchase but only during in-person registration. Raffle tickets will also be available for both in-person and online registration. There will be raffle ticket pick-up dates designated at a later time for those who register online.  Registration form available for download online.

'The Hunger Games' Screening: Stop into the Tinley Park Public Library for their selected movie each month and return a few weeks later to chat about the book. Attend the screening, the book discussion, or both — it’s up to you. No registration is required; however movie screening seating is limited to 125. Discussion books will be available immediately following the  movie; afterwards, copies will be available at the Adult Reference Desk. Screening of The Hunger Games will start at 1 p.m. Movie is rated PG-13, 142 minutes. The book discussion will take place on the same day following the movie screening. Get more info.

Tinley Park-Park District Helps Out Santa! Santa has trouble fielding all his fan mail, so the Tinley Park-Park District has agreed to help the Big Guy out. Children who would like to write to Santa and receive a personal letter from him should drop off their letters at "Santa's Mailbox" in the Bettenhausen Recreation Center during office hours from November 1 through December 1. Children age 3 to 12 only, please. Don't forget to include your address for Santa! Because Santa will be  busy packing his sleigh for Christmas Night, he will only be able to answer letters received on or before December 1. Get more info.  *Ongoing daily through Dec. 1.
