Just wait for healthcare.gov to give out credit info like it's free candy. Terrible web security.
Pat Richards April 18, 2014 at 08:59 pm
How do we know that Michaels, like Target before it, are not doing this themselves to get everyoneRead More to give up what little freedom we have left? Maybe News12 will investigate? No, that's right... News12 is just a glorified police blotter.
Grumpy Old Man April 18, 2014 at 06:34 am
Yeah right another Soros flunkie whining about the success of others.

With prices rising in all industries, I call it the disease of liberal Democrats! And it is theRead More disease that will wipe out civilization!
mark April 18, 2014 at 07:23 am
When taxes are imposed on various industries then to stay in business the prices increase on theRead More consumer! Obamacare , gas taxes, payroll taxes, tolls, the proposed soda and candy tax , your tobacco tax is 75% of what the product really costs! Commercial Property tax increases! Do you people see what's going on here? This country is being destroyed by the Democrats! It is starting to resemble The a Soviet Union! We should change the name of this country to the USSA!

local guy April 15, 2014 at 07:33 am
DJ your analogy with the people that live by Ohare airport is spot on, some people in Bluestone feelRead More the need to bitch and moan everytime a business tries to open up in that mall area. The mall area that was there before those homes went up by the way. They have also complained in the past about the route 30 construction non stop as if they were the only ones affected. Not aiming this at the entire subdivision, I do feel that there is a majority on their homeowners association that give the area a bad name. Just my experience.
Bob Laird April 15, 2014 at 09:04 am
sitting in santuccis across from midway years back there was an old fart whining about the noise. IRead More asked how long he had lived there. He said he moved in in 1956. I explained that the airport had been there since 1923

Amanda Horn April 13, 2014 at 06:53 pm
Too bad TOBS didn't have good parents to teach him right from wrong. Hating is wrong. There are goodRead More and bad in every group. I think I'm a little late. You've got to be taught to hate, before you're six, or seven, or eight...so the song goes.
Tired of the B.S. April 14, 2014 at 09:57 am
Amanda, you said, on one of your earlier posts, Amanda Horn March 25, 2014 at 10:03 PM "HowRead More miserable it would be to insist that everyone have the same lifestyle, views, politics, etc. as me." Too bad that if you are white, not gay, not liberal, or don't conform your beliefs to which ever way the winds are blowing, you seem to insist that those people are, in some way, wrong and full of hate. By the way, I have wonderful parents, who did teach me right from wrong. I just don't change the way I feel to try to fit in with the liberal way of thinking. Another thing that they taught me was "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me."
JusticeLeague April 14, 2014 at 02:44 pm
Tired of B.S. - This might not be on your top priority list, but it's on the top of other people's.Read More Keep that in mind.

Let's see some action? #############
Sharon Carr April 10, 2014 at 09:56 am
If anyone can make this work its Frank Gatto and family! One of my favorite restaurants but most ofRead More all really great people to know!! OP you will love it!!
Larry April 11, 2014 at 08:59 am
Good Luck to the Gatto brothers, make this restaurant as successful as the Tinley Park location.
Lester Scanland April 9, 2014 at 08:49 am
The point of this is understandable, but in all likelihood, the land will be sold and developed forRead More retail which in turn will be profitable for the community, not to mention the jobs it would create. Maybe that should be the primary focus.
Dm April 9, 2014 at 11:07 am
Section 8 housing will be built there just like the one in CCH
Judy Sutter April 9, 2014 at 06:38 pm
We need a nice 18 hole golf course
New Lenox Citizen April 3, 2014 at 07:48 am
Goodwill is a joke . They take donated items and sell them for profit. None of the money goes to anyRead More charity or needy group. The CEO pays himself $600k a year while paying his employees (who are usually physically or mentally handicapped) less than minimum wage people would be better off donating items to shelters or Salvation Army
Tami April 3, 2014 at 07:45 am
I think it's kind of nice to hear good news sometimes. Not just news about how horrible people inRead More our town are. As I read some of these comments I also see there are a lot of negative jerks in our town which makes me very sad.
Sharon Carr April 3, 2014 at 10:00 am
I agree Tami!
TP Mom of 3 April 3, 2014 at 07:53 pm
Hahahah That hug offer is still out there for you Harry! Group hug with Mr. Callahan... who'sRead More with me???? Honestly, reading TP Patch comments wouldn't be the same without you Mr. Callahan. Don't ever change, maybe just smile every once in a while. Sending hugs your way sir!

Lenny Kravitz April 1, 2014 at 10:49 pm
Anyone but Phillips Chevrolet. I got screwed at Phillips. I picked-out a truck, put down a $200 cashRead More deposit and came back the next day to find they sold my truck to someone else. Cheeseballs.
Interested resident April 2, 2014 at 09:01 am
That is a shame Lenny Kravitz. I'm sorry to hear that. The patch says Fallon will buy the truckRead More for the rep (in quotes). My understanding is that he is going to buy a truck from the rep. He said last Friday night that he didn't want to make it that easy for the sale.
william savick April 2, 2014 at 03:35 pm
Question Lenny Kravitz; Did you get your $200. back?

There is one on every corner anyway! Shouldn't hurt them to close a few.
JusticeLeague March 26, 2014 at 02:57 pm
Barb - I was just going to write the same thing! They spent how much money remodeling and buildingRead More new stores in the past year, now they have to close. What a waste! CVS will take over the stores they close, I'm sure.
Tracy George-Levine Moorman March 26, 2014 at 11:10 pm
What about all these people that are going to lose their jobs, how insensitive!
Jennifer Georgis March 24, 2014 at 11:36 am
The biggest winner of the night was the Garden Gallery & Studio! A huge thank you to the JayceesRead More for hosting this amazing event. The Gallery is honored to be the first recipient of this great event! Thank you to everyone that attended.
Mike March 25, 2014 at 12:15 pm

Donato Martino March 25, 2014 at 05:53 pm
Wow, can't believe Village didn't win the thin crust award... My family has been getting our thinRead More crust from them for as long I can remember! They're the true winners in our family.

Another news outlet reported that Nicks does not serve alcohol...how do they have a license forRead More video gaming? Do they have a liquor license but just don't serve it? Interesting..that's all!

BKM March 23, 2014 at 05:10 pm
Easy on Vicky. These are some great NUMBERS of job being made available, but far from beingRead More raise-your-family jobs. I read between the lines.

Only 4 percent of adults and 4 percent of children suffer peanut allergies ...
Vicky Kujawa March 19, 2014 at 10:02 pm
If someone was allergic to nuts they would not be able to be on this board lol!
Diana Flores March 21, 2014 at 01:16 pm
wow I can't believe that only one piece of candy had a peanut out of the 24 candies in the box!
James P. McMahon March 19, 2014 at 08:03 pm
Great idea. Let's ban tobacco and legalize marijuana. Makes sense to me!
Garrett Fifer March 23, 2014 at 05:27 pm
To all the people making the, "But they also sell alcohol!" argument. You must not beRead More aware that alcohol kills only a small fraction of people when compared to tobacco. According to the CDC, excessive alcohol consumption (key-word being excessive) leads to 88,000 deaths annually; while tobacco is responsible for 480,000 (almost a half-million) deaths annually. Furthermore, alcohol can be safely consumed in moderation without a large risk of addiction or cancer. In fact, alcohol (especially red wine) has health benefits. Tobacco has not one single health benefit and the most common outcome of consuming it is addiction, chronic illness, and shortened life expectancy. Tobacco companies profit off addiction. So please, take your uneducated comparisons elsewhere.
Greg Alan March 24, 2014 at 09:48 am
Not arguing here, about the facts of tobacco, and how it kills people. Not comparing alcohol, toRead More tobacco, & which 'drug' kills MORE people. People make CHOICES to buy these items. People also choose to drink irresponsibly, and kill, injure, & affect families, when they choose to DRINK & DRIVE! Smokers affect their own health! Which is more evil? I agree with Tony!
Jacke March 10, 2014 at 03:33 pm
we need a Party City store in this area, not a Panera bread, there is one already bordering TinleyRead More Park!! (or both would work too)
Jimmy Wang March 10, 2014 at 03:42 pm
We have every possible resturant chain in the area. How about a strip club?
