Tinley Park Village Hall houses village offices and other administrative functions. The six-member board of trusteesMore meets here at 8 pm on the first, third and fourth Tuesday of the month. Board committees meet at 7:30 pm on the second Tuesday.

A settlement dating back to the 1830s, the former village of Bremen officially incorporated as the Village of Tinley Park in 1890. Edward J. Zabrocki has been mayor since 1981.

The Tinley Park Historical Society is centered around two buildings: the old Zion Lutheran Church (est. 1884) and aMore replica of an early Tinley Park school house/village hall. The Historical Society houses an impressive array of early settler artifacts, all of which were donated by local families. The Landmark Chapel and New Saenger Hall can be rented out for weddings.

The Tinley Park Historical Society urges visitors to donate to support this piece of local history.
