Joe McCarthy Park
16801 80th Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60477

In addition to being the home to the batting cages and miniature golf in Tinley Junction, McCarthy Park offers aMore playground, a ball field, a volleyball court and pathways through scenic natural areas. Acquired in 1969 and named after the first chairman of the village's Youth Commission, the 10-acre park is connected to the 55-acre Centennial Park and the Jaycee Grove picnic area.

The McCarthy Recreation Building, which hosted many of the park district programs until the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center was built, is available for rentals and still hosts some programs. Concessions and restrooms are available during summer months.
