Like other towns across the country, Tinley Park will hold a Veterans Day ceremony Sunday to honor the men and women from the community who have served in the military. And while Sunday's event also will dedicate the Veterans Plaza at the renovated 80th Street Metra Station to Patrick Rea, a retired brigadier general and current village clerk, the Tinley Park ceremony stands out for another reason: It shows yet again the strong, long-standing bond the village has developed with its veterans. Improv Unlimited comes to Tinley Park to perform their show, "Satire Night Live!" at the American Legion Post #615.
The Tinley Park American Legion Post #615 is about to get taken over...by a comedy troupe. On Saturday, Post #615 will welcome Improv Unlimited as the troupe performs its show, “Satire Night Live!” “This is our high-octane, no holds barred, pedal to the metal comedy show,” said Chris Bell, of Improv Unlimited. “The original founders of Improv Unlimited first met at the famed Second City and over the years have developed multiple shows with past and present members of all the famed improv theaters from Chicago, New York and L.A,” Bell said. “Satire Night Live!” will feature classic and original comedy improv sketches made famous on stage and television.
