Last Chance to Support Children With Autism

Door prizes, raffles, a balloon launch and a talent show are all expected this morning at Easter Seals. The event will also honor the memory of Stephon Edward Watts, who was fatally shot by police in his Calumet City home.

If you're looking to make a difference, now is your chance. Join supporters of Easter Seals this morning at 17300 Ozark Ave. in Tinley Park for a talent show and balloon launch in memory of Stephon Edward Watts, a child with Asperger's Syndrome who was fatally shot by police in his Calumet City home. It all kicks off at 10 a.m. Coordinators are also holding a ribbon cutting for a new computer and language lab that was built in honor of Stephen. Easter Seals of metropolitan Chicago provides services for individuals with disabilities or other special needs and their families. The organization aims to improve quality of life and maximize independence. Find more local connections on Patch.   Do you know about an important upcoming deadline? …
