State Extends Deadline for Candidate Filings
Candidates have until Dec. 26 to turn in their petitions if they want to be on the April 9 ballot.
Candidates wanting to run for offices up for election in April election have a little more time to turn in their petitions thanks to the Illinois General Assembly. The deadline has been extended until Wednesday, Dec. 26, and petitions to run in the April 9 election must be turned in by 5 p.m. that day to the Tinley Park Village Clerk's office, according to a village press release.
