Photo Gallery: Tinley Fills the Streets With Holiday Cheer
After the tree was illuminated Friday night, Tinley's holiday weekend kicked off with parades, old fashioned carriage rides, photos with Santa and more. Catch a glimpse of the action.
The sounds of sleigh bells filled the streets of downtown Tinley Park over the weekend as old fashioned horse-drawn carriages made their way up and down Oak Park Avenue. Along the horses' routes was The Landmark Church, Museum and Schoolhouse — home to the Tinley Park Historical Society — where children worked on crafts. Hundreds shopped under the big tent known as the Tinley Park Holiday Market. While local business' sold Christmas items, dancers from Heart & Sole entertained the crowds. Ice carvers from the Joliet Junior College Culinary Arts program amazed the crowd with their reindeer creations.
