Duke it Out: Sox Bar vs. Cubs Bar? You Decide.

There's nothin' like a cross-town rivalry. And now that baseball is under way for the Sox and the Cubs, the Chicago-area is filled with the trash talking spirit of the season. Through April 15, the Sox are 5-3, and the Cubs—at 3-7—have already found their way to the basement. But there are a lot of games left to play. What's the best bar in Tinley Park to watch a ballgame? The best place to let out a cheer or to cry in your beer? Our lineup was set by recommendations from our Facebook fans and through our Patch business directory. Chowdown Showdown

A Doggone Crosstown Showdown: Vienna Vs. Bobak

It's the Cubs hot dog vs. the Sox hot dog. We put these ballpark wieners to the test in a Patch Chowdown Showdown.

The Fourth of July has come and gone, but summer is here to stay (finally). And in light of last weekend's crosstown rivalry, we went looking for your best doggone choice for an ongoing grilling season. The Chicago White Sox may have commanded round two of the Crosstown Classic by taking a 2-1 series over the Chicago Cubs recently, but according to five trusty food enthusiasts, they didn't win the battle of the ballpark dogs. We assumed the challenging role of taste testing for a Vienna-Bobak face-off. And the jury ruled in favor of Vienna — the brand of frankfurters now served at Wrigley Field. Vienna Beef opened its first store in Chicago in 1894 and their dogs were served at Wrigley prior to 1982. But this is the first season since then…
