Comings & Goings: Orland Plan Commission OKs Tilted Kilt

Acclaimed financial scholar will be speaking in Tinley Park about Illinois' money woes.

Plans to open a Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery in the former Fat Ricky’s at 16255 S. LaGrange Road won approval last week from the Orland Park Plan Commission. The proposal also would add more than 1,500 square feet to the building, which was vacated recently when Fat Ricky’s moved into smaller quarters in Tinley Park. The plan now goes to the village development committee for review. If the full village board approves it, the restaurant and sports bar – sort of a Gaelic cousin of Hooters with waitresses wearing plaid miniskirts and open midriffs – could open as soon as July. A Tilted Kilt bar opened a few years ago near Chicago Ridge Mall. Cook County Sheriff’s Police on Wednesday placed an eviction notice on Danny’s Corner, 9400 W. 143rd St. …
