Trial Date Set in Outriggers Assault Case

Defense in Outriggers Assault Case Files 'Material' Against Victim

A Mokena man accused of assaulting a Tinley Park restaurant manager has claimed self defense and his attorney submitted material against the alleged victim Thursday, Aug. 30 to be reviewed by prosecutors and the judge in the case.

The felony battery case involving a Mokena man accused of assaulting a Tinley Park restaurant manager and breaking his ribs is moving forward. During an Aug. 30 hearing in Cook County Judge Colleen Ann Hyland's Bridgeview courtroom, attorneys for Donovan Campbell, 42, filed a motion to "admit material against the complaining witness," said Dennis F. Man Accused of Assaulting Outriggers Manager Claims Self Defense

An attorney for Donovan Campbell, the Mokena man accused of assaulting a Tinley Park restaurant manager, said this week that his client will be asserting self defense.

A Mokena man facing aggravated battery and great bodily harm charges after allegedly assaulting a Tinley Park restaurant manager is claiming self defense, according to his attorney. Dennis Dwyer told Judge Colleen Hyland Tuesday during a Bridgeview courtroom hearing that his client, Donovan Campbell, 42, will be asserting self defense.
