Bond Reduction Denied for Woman Accused of Driving Over Boyfriend

A Cook County judge denied a motion Friday, Dec. 21 to reduce a $100,000 bond for a woman whose boyfriend required surgery on his chest, back and testicles after she allegedly ran over him with a vehicle.

A 23-year-old Tinley Park woman charged with aggravated battery after being accused of running over her live-in boyfriend with her car will remain in jail on $100,000 bond after a Cook County judge denied a bond reduction Friday, Dec. 21. Prosecutors allege Christine Meyers drove over her boyfriend on Sunday, Dec. 16, causing the man to be hospitalized to get surgery on his chest and back and to repair skin torn off the man's scrotum. However, Meyers' boyfriend told police a very different story, saying that an unknown vehicle hit him and he didn't want the suspect charged if they were caught. Boyfriend Told Police a Different Story on How He Was Run Over

The man whose girlfriend is accused of running over him didn't rat her out to Tinley Park Police when he was initially questioned about the incident, according to a police report.

  The 21-year-old man who suffered severe burns after his girlfriend allegedly drove over him last week originally told police an unknown vehicle had hit him, dragging him down 175th Street, according to police reports. Report: Man's Burns Require Surgery After Girlfriend Drives Over Him

Christine A. Meyers was charged with aggravated domestic battery after prosecutors claim she ran over her live-in boyfriend, who was burned on his chest, back and in his groin area, the Chicago Tribune reports.

A Tinley Park woman faces a felony charge after she allegedly ran over her boyfriend in the driveway of the house they both lived in, according to the Chicago Tribune.  Christine A. Meyers, 23, of the 17700 block of South Ridgeland Avenue, was charged with aggravated domestic battery Sunday, Dec. 16, after prosecutors claimed she drove over her boyfriend who was on the ground in front of the vehicle, the report stated.
