Tinley Park Police reports, Nov. 22-Dec. 5 • TV and $500 in gold coins taken from house • Wallet with $300 in it stolen out of pickup • Cash and blank checks vanish from bedroom * Ruse burglars strike, steal $800 from couple.

THURSDAY, NOV. 22 A 47-inch LG TV, a TV stand and $500 gold dollar coins were taken from a house in the 6700 block of West 163rd Place, according to a police report. The coins were kept in a red, plastic Folger's Coffee canister in the house, the report stated. MONDAY, DEC. 3 A woman's wallet with about $300 in it was taken from a white Dodge pickup truck parked in the driveway of a house in the 17200 block of Oak Park Avenue, according to a police report. The front driver's side window of the truck had been broken to get the wallet, which had been left in the truck overnight, the report stated. Police Still Investigating Twin Daylight Home Burglaries in Tinley Terrace

Tinley Park Police are connecting the two crimes, and a witness saw a male in a dark, hooded sweatshirt in the area. That same day, a suspect matching that description unsuccessfully tried to enter a home on South 67th Court.

Tinley Park Police are still investigating two connected home burglaries Sept. 13 in the Tinley Terrace area where witnesses saw a suspicious male in a hooded sweatshirt around the same time, according to police reports and a department official. A house in the 16500 block of 66th Court and another in the 6700 block of West 164th Street were burglarized some time between about 7 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Sept. 13, according to reports. In both cases, the residents weren't at home at the time of the burglaries, the reports stated, adding that officers canvased both streets and talked to neighbors.
