Police Investigate Driveway Crash That Sent Man to Hospital

A man was injured overnight Friday after a vehicle hit him in the driveway of a residence in the 17700 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police report.

Tinley Park Police are investigating a collision in a residential driveway that left a man injured, a police official said. As of Friday morning, investigators had cordoned off the house in the 17700 block of Ridgeland Avenue with crime scene tape while they tried to determined w hat caused the overnight accident involving a vehicle and an individual, said Chief Steve Neubauer. The man who was hit by the car was taken to an area hospital, Neubauer said, adding he had no further details about his condition or whether he lived at the house.
