Predict the Score: Chicago vs. San Francisco

The Bears continue a daunting schedule with a Monday nighter at San Francisco. Can you guess the score? Closest prediction to the outcome wins a Patch tote bag!

Both the Bears' and the 49ers' quarterbacks left their games last week with concussions, making this game extra difficult to predict. The Bears are 7-2 and the 49ers are right behind them at 6-2-1, coming off the first tie game since 2008. Now they battle on Monday Night Football,  Patch is getting in on the action. Predict the score prior to Sunday's Bears game. The reader who correctly guesses the score, or comes closest to guessing the score, will get a Patch tote bag. At the end of the season, we'll have a random drawing among the weekly winners for a larger prize. Congratulations to Dave, of Oak Lawn, who predicted the Texans would beat the Bears 13-9 last week (the actual score was 13-6). • If you’re a Patch reader, simply comment on…

Predict the Score: Chicago vs. Detroit

The Chicago Bears are back after the bye week and take on the Detroit Lions. Can you guess the score? Closest prediction to the outcome wins a Patch baseball cap!

The last time we saw the Bears on Monday Night Football, they were pummeling the Cowboys. Now, coming off the bye week, Chicago looks to go 5-1 with a win over the "bad boy" Detroit Lions.  Patch is getting in on the action. Predict the score prior to Monday's Bears game. The reader who correctly guesses the score, or comes closest to guessing the score, will get a Patch baseball cap. At the end of the season, we'll have a random drawing among the weekly winners for a larger prize. Congratulations to our two-week champion, Joel, who predicted the Bears would beat the Jaguars 41-0 (the actual score was 41-3). Monday Night Goofballs: Do Even the Packers Deserve to Lose Like That? (Video)

As a general rule, Chicago Bears fans don't cut Green Bay any slack. Ever. But should the Packers have lost their 'Monday Night Football' game against the Seattle Seahawks on such a horrendous final call? Read what fans are saying.

Sympathy for the Green Bay Packers? That's counter to the instincts of just about every Bears fans (and breaks the laws of 57 state municipalities as well as the laws of physics).  But after the Pack lost its Monday Night Football game to the Seattle Seahawks thanks to what is generously being termed the worst call in the history of all officiated sports dating back to the days when Homo habilis first kicked a rock around Olduvai Gorge, some fans can't help but feel a little bad for the division rivals.  Some fans. Not all. We collected comments from readers and Bears fans from the Tinley Park Patch Facebook page and on Twitter. Some people were charitable, some upset at the mess the NFL has made with using replacement refs, and some were …
