Dr. Kishor Jain, of Frankfort, was arrested Friday on felony charges and has stopped seeing patients at the clinic where several women say they were groped by the doctor.
A Frankfort pediatrician arrested Friday on charges that he sexually abused five women in his office is no longer seeing patients at the clinic where the incidents are said to have taken place. Former students seeking claims against Irish Christian Brothers must show religious order knew certain members were a danger to children. Deadline to file is Aug. 1.
Documents amassed by a Seattle-based law firm show that although the Irish Christian Brothers knew one of its members may have molested students at Brother Rice High School, they still sent him to other schools. The allegations came to light after a bankruptcy filing by the Irish Christian Brothers in an attempt to cap any damages from former students filing claims alleging sexual or physical abuse by members of the religious order who taught at the high schools. FRANKFORT — The murder case against Brian Trainauskas is being delayed, pending an appeal by prosecutors that rests on whether the man’s constitutional rights were denied during a police interrogation. At the Illinois Appellate Court level, the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office is challenging Circuit Judge Richard C. Schoenstedt’s ruling that sheriff’s police deprived Trainauskas of his right to counsel during an interrogation Jan. 23, 2009. A local man was arrested by Mokena police this past week.
Mokena police arrested a 20-year-old Tinley Park man this week and charged him with aggravated criminal sexual abuse after a reported incident involving a 13-year-old girl, according to Will County court records. David J. Potter, of the 17800 block of 66th Court, was charged Tuesday. Police said he had sex with a 13-year-old girl sometime in October, according to county records. Mokena Police Cmdr. Dan Rankovich said Potter met his victim over the summer, reported the Sun-Times Media. “He befriended her at a roller rink in Tinley Park, and in October, they engaged in consensual sexual contact at a park (in Mokena),” Rankovich told the Sun-Times.
