Tinley Park Sees Almost 50% Yearly Jump in October Home Sales
Home prices in the village also saw a yearly increase, climbing 13.2 percent. Overall, sales of single-family, detached homes in the Chicago suburbs rose 44.6 percent in the same timeframe.
Home sales in Tinley Park continued an upward trend, climbing to 47.4 percent in October over the same month in 2011. In September, the village saw a 107-percent increase. The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout the Southland saw growth in October, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). It would be interesting to know how many of these were foreclosures or short sales. I really don't notice the houses around Tinley appreciating that much.   more ›
