The New Year turned five days old today. And out of those five days, the Will County Courthouse was only open for three of them. Ross Dress for Less, a California-based off-price retailer, will be opening a new store next year at Brookside Marketplace in Tinley Park. The 23,344-square-foot store will be built on vacant land between the Best Buy parking lot and a retail strip that houses Sally Beauty Supply, Massage Envy, CiCi Nails and Performance Dental. Construction is expected to start in the spring with an opening later in the year. Old Navy, which is moving from Lincoln Mall in Matteson to Brookside Marketplace, will open its new store at 7410 W. 191st St. in Tinley Park with a sneak peek starting at 5 p.m. Friday. Shoppers will have to pick up a special 20 percent off sneak peek coupon at other retailers in Brookside Marketplace. The store will open Saturday at 9 a.m. with a host of guests and events including a DJ, stilt walkers, balloonist, and food from local restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings, Popcorn Town & Candyland, Subway, Odyssey Country Club and Culver’s.
