Patch spotlights some of the taverns in Orland Park, Oak Forest and Tinley Park that are offering deals and drinks and food the day before Thanksgiving.
The day before Thanksgiving—called Black Wednesday in some circles—has become one of the busiest days for bars and taverns. It's a time when people meet up with friends for a drink or two before having to deal with family. Watering holes in Oak Fores, Orland Park and Tinley Park are taking advantage of the time, offering drink and food specials. Blarney Stone Pub: No cover charge, $3 and $4 pints of craft beers, $4 select glasses of wine. Cindy's Pub: $10 six-bottle Miller product buckets, along with a special turkey and stuffing dinner.
