The cost of the Village fulfilling Freedom of Information Act requests from mayoral candidate Steve Eberhardt is adding up—to the tune of more than $18,000 over the last 13 months, Sun-Times Media reports. During Tinley Park's village board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 12, village clerk Pat Rea released a FOIA request report just weeks after Eberhardt used a FOIA request to file a challenge against Mayor Ed Zambrocki. Rea said the timing of his report was due to the entire board not meeting since November of last year, according to Sun-Times Media.
