One Sent to Hospital, Three Treated by Paramedics at Veterans Day Ceremony

A veteran was sent to Advocate South Suburban Hospital and three others received medical attention Sunday at Tinley Park's Veterans Day ceremony at the 80th Avenue Train Station, according to a fire department official.

Four people—three veterans and a Lincoln-Way North High School student from the Junior ROTC program—received medical attention from paramedics at Sunday's Veterans Day ceremony at the 80th Avenue Metra Station. The man, who was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, became ill while he was standing with other members of veterans groups during the ceremony.
