The nominations are in — mixed in with a few newsmakers we selected. Now, it's up to you to vote for the individual you think deserves to be the 2012 Tinley Park Patch Person of the Year. The list includes a doctor, lifesavers, a 10-year-old and an Olympian. We've put together short descriptions of each nominee, explaining why that person made the list. Read them over and cast your vote. Voting ends 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4.
