New Lenox Woman Relieved of Pelvic Pain After Robotic Surgery at Silver Cross Hospital

For months New Lenox resident Pauline Guadagno suffered with severe pain in her abdomen area and lower left side near her stomach.  After a cyst was discovered on Guadagno’s right ovary, it was determined that the best way to relieve her pain was to have surgery using the minimally invasive da Vinci Robot System. Seeking Relief From Pelvic Pain at Silver Cross

Silver Cross Hospital offers a free program, "Women and Pelvic Problems," and also has a free incontinence risk assessment.

Pelvic prolapsed affects 1 in 2 women who have experienced vaginal birth, a hysterectomy or obesity. It is estimated that nearly 50% of all women between the ages of 50 and 79 have some form of prolapse. Pelvic prolapse is a condition that occurs when muscles and ligaments supporting your pelvic organs weaken.
