Man Stocks Up, Sneaks Off with 37 Bottles of Liquor

Christopher K. Scott, 32, of Orland Park, is charged with a felony charge of retail theft, after he attempted to steal more than $1,000 worth of alcohol from Super Kmart in Tinley Park.

An Orland Park man faces a felony charge of retail theft, after he tried to steal approximately $1,300 worth of alcohol from Super Kmart, 16300 S. Harlem Avenue, on Jan. 30. Christopher K. Scott, 32, of the 15800 block of S. Centennial Drive, Orland Park, was charged with felony retail theft after he left Super Kmart with 37 bottles of hard alcohol from the store around 9:10 p.m., according to reports. Cameras captured the theft on film, employees told police; the footage shows Scott shopping for the alcohol and then exiting without paying. An employee said he followed Scott out of the store and ordered him to return the items to the store, which he did, before fleeing the scene on foot. Women to Cops: We Took Clothes Because We Have No Money

Tiffany E. Porto, of Oak Forest, and Symantha L. Migawa, of Alsip, face retail theft charges after being caught with almost $200 in items from Super Kmart, according to a Tinley Park Police report.

Two women face retail theft charges after being accused of stealing almost $200 worth of merchandise Nov. 6 from Super Kmart in the 16300 block of Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park, police report. The women each had a child with them during the incident and told Tinley Park Police that they took the clothes because they had no money. Porto, 22, of the 15300 block of Merlin Court in Oak Forest, was charged with felony retail theft because she had a previous retail theft conviction in Lake County and served 30 days in jail for it, the report stated.
