An Orland Park man faces a felony charge of retail theft, after he tried to steal approximately $1,300 worth of alcohol from Super Kmart, 16300 S. Harlem Avenue, on Jan. 30. Christopher K. Scott, 32, of the 15800 block of S. Centennial Drive, Orland Park, was charged with felony retail theft after he left Super Kmart with 37 bottles of hard alcohol from the store around 9:10 p.m., according to reports. Cameras captured the theft on film, employees told police; the footage shows Scott shopping for the alcohol and then exiting without paying. An employee said he followed Scott out of the store and ordered him to return the items to the store, which he did, before fleeing the scene on foot.
