ReplyThere is no time restraint for a crime. It does not matter if it was a day, a week, a month, or a year. A crime is a crime. Let him go through the justice system and lets all hope justice prevails. It is odd to me though that this is NOT the first time he has been accused, it is just that last time, the charges were dropped. Lets hope that the victims stay strong and if they are truly not victims then he should be able to be proven innocent. I must say though having all these women speaking up for themselves does not look good for him. He too was my children's pediatrician however when they became adults they moved on to a family practice Doctor. It looks a little sketchy that he would be seeing adults when he clearly is and has always been a Pediatrician Doctor. I would never recommend him to anybody after all of this has come out. So either way his career is over because I am sure the majority of people would not take the chance of putting their children in harms way.

ReplyIt is funny just how little some people actually know. At Tony above, It is clear that you and possibly others don't know that a 16 years old brain is not FULLY developed until their in their TWENTIES. The part of the brain that is not yet developed is the frontal lobe which is responsible for regulating decision making, problem solving, control of purposeful behavior consciousness and emotional. Translation... They may know what is going on at the moment but are to young to understand the long term effects or the consequences of the action. While the perpetrator clearly understand and has no regard for the child or the law. The perpetrator clearly has the ability to make a responsible decision and to control the behavior but because she did not, that is a crime for which she is the one who is held accountable, as she should be.

The same son who was arrested for domestic battery and got off again? The same son who was handed a job in our community? Hmm not sure how much help he would be since he all ready owes so many favors. Just saying.

ReplyHe was my children's pediatrician sever years ago and it is so sad to see someone throw it all away. His children were academic scholars at LWE and the family is well known in the community. The shame, embarrassment, and humility that this has brought to his family is so sad. It is just hard to imagine why.

On the article Rep. Renée Kosel: Same Sex Marriage Bill is Hot Topic in the House

So well said Lori C. Marriage is an institution by individuals who are joined in a consensual contractual relationship. No amount of religion gives anyone the right to judge if it be between a man and a woman or two same sex individuals. Love Thy Neighbor, not Judge Thy Neighbor. Not deny Thy Neighbor because you think your ways are most righteous. You don't get the right to judge, Only one person and one person only has that power. If you feel it is a sin, that's ok. That is one less sin that you need to ask forgiveness for. If others do not feel it is a sin, that is their choice as well. Either way, all people should be treated fairly regardless of their faith. Representative Renee Kosel seems to have failed to learn this amendment right which is so sad because it makes me wonder what other issues she has decided for her constituents based on her faith. Clearly that is someone I do not want representing me not my community.

ReplyReally? None of anyone's business? Who made it the public's business? Let's see... Was it the teenager who ran away? Perhaps the parents who begged for the public's help? Wait, maybe the police who "ASKED" for the communities help when the family came to them or perhaps the ones who requested it be circulated on Facebook. If you ask for the community to help, then when the truth comes out the community is definitely entitled to their opinions. Everybody and every family is, was, or has gone through something. The difference is knowing when to seek help BEFORE it becomes a bigger issue that involves communities, police, and tax payers dollars. I am still relieved that she was safely found but I still stand by my prior opinion that this teenager needs to be made aware that SHE is accountable for HER actions. Lets hope she gets some help in understanding how she could have handled the situation differently.

ReplyReally? Does it matter what town it was labeled as? You know which home depot was referred to so be grateful for the heads up warning and quit complaining about the error of geography. Furthermore, be sympathetic for the 83 year old good samaritan who tried to help him out and the fact that she is okay. It could have been anybody's Grandmother and I don't think they would have carerd weather it happened in T.P. or O.P They would just have been thankful that he was caught.

And let's not forget that Matt was also arrested in Homewood. For what? DOMESTIC VIOLENCE! Yep some real good kids. Granted as parents we have no control over our adult children but there comes a time when you have realize you can no longer defend you child's bad actions. Especially when they have always been rebellious. Starting in Jr. High with under age drinking, then on to drug possession, then assault, domestic violence, at what point will we hold young adults responsible for their actions and not keep letting them off because of who they are related to? As a parent you are not doing them any justice because by enabling them, the cycle continues on.
