A transplant from southeastern Ohio, I moved to Chicago in October 2010. I graduated from Muskingum University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. I worked for a chain of suburban newspapers in Columbus before moving on to public relations. I missed reporting and I am glad to be back to my roots, but in a new city.

Video is my passion. While I love writing, I admire the way video can take a story to a whole new level. 

I love movies (especially comedies), weird indie bands and trying out new coffee shops. I'm still trying to find my new favorite cup o' joe in the city.
