About Myra
Myra Eder is a veteran journalist who spent 25 years in the newspaper business, covering everything from politics and business to arts and entertainment. For the last three years, she has been an independent writer working on a variety of business and publicity projects. She writes SouthScene for Patch, a weekly arts and entertainment column for the southwest suburbs.
An arts and entertainment blog she launched nearly two years ago is widely read in the Southland and beyond.
In her spare time, Eder reads about astronomy and cosmology and occasionally volunteers at Adler Planetarium. She and her husband are avid theatre-goers who enjoy both community and professional productions and classic sci-fi movies and film noir from the 1940s and '50s.

Hi Jean, Wish we could list all those events, but SouthScene does not include bar/restaurant lineups since there are so many in the South Suburbs. I am sorry.

Okay, that was a test. I hope this "Board" note is for you, Myra, not the whole Patch viewing public. I just wanted to say hello and it's great to be working with you again even from a distance. You were a wonderful permanent fixture in Dimensions when I started freelancing there with the encouragement of the incredible Joanne Zerkel. Enjoying your arts columns. Maybe our paths will cross for real at some point :)
