In Memory: Matt Kocher

Matt Kocher, of Tinley Park, died Saturday, July 27, in New Buffalo, MI. He was 15.
The Andrew High School honor student played football, basketball and volleyball, according to a Sun-Times Media report. He also volunteered with the Special Olympics at Richards High School in Oak Lawn for the past 10 years, the report stated.
Family, friends and classmates participated in a candlelight vigil Monday, July 29, in the park next to St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Orland Hills. Attendees wore Andrew colors—black and gold— as well as shirts with "RIP Kocher" taped on the back.
