Readers have contacted Patch about a fake tribute page on Facebook for Matt Kocher, the 15-year-old Tinley Park boy who died after being pulled from Lake Michigan over the weekend.
The page contains tasteless, inappropriate and vulgar comments. It's unclear whether a more appropriate page was hacked or if this page was meant as a prank from the beginning.
Facebook officials have been alerted by several people, who asked the social media company to take down the page, according to a reader. However, the page is still active, and it's unknown what Facebook plans to do.
