Residents Can Register for Park District Activities In Person

Residents can register in person for the Tinley Park-Park District's winter/spring season. Go to the district's website to look at what classes and other activities are available in 2014. Online and mail-in registration for non-residents begins Jan. 21; in-person registration for non-residents starts Jan. 22.

When: Starts Monday, Jan. 13.

• Heart and Soul Duo: The classic cover group performs from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Ed & Joe's Pizza.

SATURDAY, JAN. 18

• Xtreme Spirit's 10th Annual Carnival Classic: This two-day, Mardi Gras-themed national competition at the Tinley Park Convention Center features cheer and dance teams from across the country. Go to the competition's website for details.
• Kingsnakes: The blues band performs from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Ed & Joe's Pizza.
• Kicksum: The musical group plays at J.W. Hollstein's Saloon.
